Andrew Ziskind

Andy Ziskind, MD, is the CEO of BDC Advisors. His experience includes leadership of health system and medical group strategy and operations, successful alignment of clinical and business transformation, and payer-provider alignment to succeed in population health management. Andy has been responsible for developing leading innovative primary care and specialty delivery systems that span both academic medical centers and community health systems.

Prior to BDC, Andy served as Senior Executive Officer of SWHR, a joint initiative of UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources to support their strategic and operational transition to population health management.

Prior to SWHR, Andy was the senior VP of Academic Strategy for Premier, where he started Premier’s Academic Innovators Alliance, a collaborative to advance the strategic and operational effectiveness of academic health systems. Prior to Premier, Andy was a managing director at Huron Healthcare, a national performance improvement consulting company where he led the strategy, clinical transformation, physician service, and population health solutions areas. He previously served as a partner at Accenture. Andy has been recognized by Consulting Magazine as a Top 25 Consultant.

Before consulting, Andy spent 25 years in leadership positions including BJC Healthcare where he served as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and BJC Group president; U of Washington as vice dean for clinical affairs and associate VP for clinical programs; and University of Maryland where he established the U of Maryland Cardiac Network.

Andy graduated from Bowdoin College, the U. of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at Mass General Hospital. He also holds an MBA from Loyola College of Maryland.
