Danielle Wharton, MHSA, NHA, is the chief operating officer at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC), the second largest academic affiliate of the Johns Hopkins Health System. Prior to her current role, she was the VP of clinical and support services. She joined JHBMC in 2002 as an administrative resident. In her current role she oversees Johns Hopkins Bayview’s administrative operations, clinical and ancillary services, support services and facilities, and will work closely with physican and adminstrative leaders to drive operational excellence at the Medical Center.  She has a proven record of instilling continuous performance improvement and staff engagement strategies to advance the organization. Danielle’s greatest passion is mentoring future health care leaders, while also creating pipelines for the next wave of administrators. She is an active volunteer serving as a member at large for the National Association of Health Care Executives locally and on the Board of the Baltimore School of the Arts.
