Robin Wood PhD, RN, CEN, NEA-BC received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College in 2002. She began her nursing career as staff nurse in the Burn Intensive Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2006, she relocated to Philadelphia and accepted a role as a staff nurse in the emergency department (ED) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). She has held numerous staff and leadership positions within HUP ED nursing until 2022, when she transitioned out of her role of clinical director of emergency and observation nursing to a newly formed position; senior clinical director of HUP capacity management and The Penn Medicine Transfer Center. Robin earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. In 2017, she completed her PhD in Nursing from Villanova University. Her dissertation was entitled, “Workplace Bullying Between Registered Nurses: Prevalence and Perceived Effects on Work Productivity.”
