Vice President of Patient Experience

Helena Kowalewski is the Vice President of Patient Experience for the MaineHealth system in Maine. In this role reporting to the Chief Quality & Safety Officer, she oversees the development and execution of strategies to enhance patient satisfaction. Kowalewski also oversees Interpreter Services, Customer Service and Volunteer services. Since January 2020 she has worked with leaders across the system to implement strategies for improving patient and family experience. She uses the MaineHealth goal around patients by promoting a culture of caring and empathy to ensure a patient’s best health outcome. Kowalewski holds a master’s degree in public policy and management and is a certified patient experience professional.
