Dr. Vanessa Walker is a board certified pulmonary and critical care physician. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2007. She then completed internal medicine residency at University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine where she stayed an additional year to serve as chief resident. Dr. Walker pursued subspecialty training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Duke University where she also graduated with a Master of Management in Clinical Informatics from the Fuqua School of Business. She has had many leadership positions within Sutter Health including serving as the medical director of the Valley Area eICU and her current role as chief medical executive of Sutter Roseville Medical Center. She is involved in organized medicine and served as the 2024 president of the board of directors for the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society and is a delegate for the California Medical Association.
