Tess Burleson has worked at City of Hope since 2016, when TGen was acquired by City of Hope, and she has worked at TGen since 2007. She serves as the chief operating officer, overseeing all non-scientific functions, and as president of TGen Health Ventures, which develops technologies and incubates companies from technologies arising from the research. She began her career in public accounting at KPMG and has worked in healthcare and life sciences since 1990. She serves on several boards, for both public and private companies, and she serves as a subject matter expert for consulting and investment firms.
