Dr. Pritesh H. Gandhi has two decades of experience driving transformative and measurable change in health systems & equity, primary care delivery, digital health, health security, response, & preparedness, & public health. With deep operational and executive expertise across private, federal, and nonprofit sectors, Dr. Gandhi has built a reputation for solving complex challenges in high-pressure, matrixed environments at scale – both nationally and globally.

He has held senior leadership roles in some of the nation’s most impactful organizations, including serving as Chief Community Health Officer at Walmart Inc. and the Chief Medical Officer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Based in Austin, Texas, Dr. Gandhi advises organizations in primary care delivery, digital health, public health and health equity, and health security, focusing on innovation and impact. He is Affiliate Faculty at the University of Texas Dell Medical School. A Fulbright Scholar, National Health Service Corps Scholar, 2019 Austinite of the Year, and Presidential Leadership Scholar, Dr. Gandhi holds an MD and MPH from Tufts University, where he also studied International Relations and Economics. He completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Tulane University and studied Economic History at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
