Dr. Adia K. Ross MD, MHA is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Duke Regional Hospital, a 388 bed acute care hospital in Durham, NC. She began her medical career as a hospitalist in 2013 at Duke University Hospital. She has had several leadership positions within Duke Health including serving as a Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at Duke Raleigh Hospital and as a Medical Director of the Duke Health Transfer Center. She currently oversees several areas at Duke Regional including medical staff services, pharmacy, nutrition services, advanced practice providers, ED providers, patient safety and quality improvement/lean management. She also works clinically and teaches residents, PA students and medical students. She was recognized by the Raleigh, NC business community for her contributions and was named as one of the Triangle Business Journal’s 2019 “40 Under 40” winners.
