Kate Jones is the Chief Strategy Officer, South Region for CommonSpirit Health. Prior to joining CommonSpirit she was the Senior VP and Chief Strategy Officer for Rush University System for Health. Kate joined Rush as the vice president of strategic planning in February 2020 and immediately distinguished herself as a results-oriented leader with expertise in operational efficiencies, financial performance and strategic growth.

Jones has been responsible for consumer, payer and competitor intelligence to support data-driven decision-making. She has partnered with internal and external leaders to identify opportunities to grow the network across all care sites and expand the ambulatory footprint in key geographies.
Jones brings a strong record of success as a leader from her previous roles at Navigant Consulting, University of Chicago Medicine and Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She earned her master’s in health services administration from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Arkansas.
