The Carol Emmott Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Impact with Its 10th Cohort of Fellows for the Class of 2026

20 Women Health Leaders Selected for the Prestigious Carol Emmott Fellowship Program

Program to Launch in January 2026, Marking a Decade of Advancing Gender Parity in Healthcare Leadership

Portland, OR — The Carol Emmott Foundation proudly announces its 10th Fellowship class, a milestone moment marking a decade of accelerating women’s executive leadership across healthcare. The 20 accomplished women selected for the Class of 2026 represent leading health organizations from across the country and embody the Foundation’s enduring commitment to achieving gender parity and promoting the visibility of women leaders throughout the industry.

Launched in 2016, the Carol Emmott Fellowship is an intensive 14-month program designed to elevate women leaders by expanding their professional visibility, deepening their leadership influence, and equipping them with the mentorship, network, and resources to drive lasting change. Over the past ten years, the Fellowship has built a powerful national community of more than 170 Network Fellows who are shaping the future of healthcare leadership.

“Ten years ago, the Carol Emmott Fellowship began with a bold vision—to ensure that women leading transformative work in healthcare are seen, supported, and elevated to the highest levels of leadership,” said Anne McCune, CEO of The Carol Emmott Foundation. “As we welcome our 10th cohort, we celebrate not only these 20 exceptional leaders but also a decade of impact—of women who are changing what’s possible in healthcare and paving the way for those who follow.”

Fellows participate in a customized leadership development experience that includes executive mentorship, immersive learning, and access to a national network of senior healthcare leaders. Each fellow leads an impact project within her organization—an initiative designed to drive meaningful change and enhance visibility and influence within the healthcare ecosystem.

Over the past decade, more than half of Carol Emmott Fellows have been promoted during or shortly after their Fellowship, with many moving into C-suite, senior vice president, and president roles. Collectively, these women are advancing inclusive leadership practices, strengthening organizational cultures, and broadening opportunities for women to lead at every level.
